One of the best setups for fighting Ceadeus is full lagiacrus armor, which gives the attack boost EAU and increases your speed in the water.
Any weapon part of the Lagiacrus branch will deal high damage to Ceadeus due to Ceadeus' weakness to thunder. From my experience, the easiest method to defeat Ceadeus is to use full lagiacrus armor and poke Ceadeus behind the Doris Spear's shield.
